Stf Sgt. Jeremy Levens - Coached by Amy Shamgochian- 2019 Judge's Choice Mirror Ball Award Winners!

Staff Sergeant Jeremy M. Levens- Jeremy began his career with the United States Army when he enlisted during his third year of college at Texas State University. He was shipped out to Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training at FT Jackson, SC, as a Religious Affairs Specialist. SSG Levens’ first assignment was the 1-46th Infantry BN, FT Knox, KY. Subsequent assignments include the Iraq Assistance Group and MultiNational Corps Iraq, Camp Victory, Iraq, 194th Armored Brigade, FT Knox, KY, 3rd Army US Army Central Command, Shaw AFB, SC, 1st Brigade Special Troops BN, Camp Hovey, Korea. SSG Levens volunteered to serve in Operation Iraq Freedom for 11 months in 2009, and also served in Jordan and Kuwait for 1 year in 2010-2012. SSG Levens recruiting assignment began in May 2015. His current assignment is the Nor Cal Recruiting BN, San Joaquin Recruiting Company, Turlock Army Recruiting Center as the Deputy Station Commander. SSG Levens has been married to his wife Tracey for almost 14 years and they are the proud parents of David, Nora, Romo, and Lucas. SSG Levens, we are so thankful for your service to this great country and so thankful you are a part of our Turlock community and DWTTS family!


Amy Shamgochian- Choreographer Amy is a registered nurse and works at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock. She and her husband, Steve, just celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary! They are extremely proud parents of Mackenzie, 23, a nursing student at Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois, and Steven, 20, a student at On Track Transitions who loves his new job at Turlock Golf & Country Club. Amy loves being a mom and a nurse and takes great pride in volunteering in her community. She is a founding board member for Dancing with the Turlock Stars and takes on everything “dance, music and lighting” for the event! She also volunteers for the Turlock Salvation Army, the American Cancer Society, and The Pitman Development Foundation. Amy started dancing at the age of 4, danced across America with Hoctor’s Dance Caravan at the age of 15, traveled to Canada and Australia to dance at the World’s Fair, and taught jazz, tap, and ballet at the Deborah Morgan Dance Studio for 14 years. She proudly took home the Mirror Ball in 2014 with a perfect score of 30, and won the Best Choreography Award in 2015 and 2017!
