Ernie & Sue Peters - Coached by Kerry Goman Rocha

Ernie and Sue have been blissfully married for over forty years! Ernie, 68 is a lifelong resident of Turlock and is a retired Insurance Broker with Winton-Ireland Strom and Green. Sue, 65 is a Sign Language Interpreter for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. They have four grown children—Antonia, Jeremy, Paul, and Aimee. Ernie and Sue have 9 grandchildren… “ALL boys except for the last but not least and youngest who is their ONLY girl!!” Ernie is a proud graduate of THS’ Class of “68”. Sue, a So-Cal transplant has lived in Turlock for 44 years. While Ernie has NO previous dance experience, Sue mastered the “Hokey Pokey” in kindergarten! Ernie is a charmer! His favorite things about Sue is EVERYTHING! Sue’s favorite thing about Ernie is his love for his family and his willingness to help others. Both Ernie and Sue are looking forward to their DWTTS opportunity and helping to give back to their community and to very worthwhile charities… even though they may be a bit terrified to dance!

Kerry began her dance career at age 3 in King City Ca. She is trained in jazz and tap, dabbling in ballet classes under the direction of Deborah Morgan from 1985-1999.  Kerry traveled to LA, San Francisco, Las Vegas and San Jose to train with top choreographers who worked with artists like Paula Abdul, Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson, Prince and George Michael. In 1997, Kerry went on a two week tour to Europe including London, Amsterdam and, Scotland where she had the opportunity to perform in Hyde Park and, The Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Kerry coached and choreographed for the Turlock Youth Cheerleaders for 8 years, starting at age 15, being the first coach for that organization to take the teams to various competitions statewide. Kerry coached multiple local high school cheerleading squads, a co ed all star cheer team, and an all girl, all star competitive team before being hired as a dance teacher with Footnotes Dance Studio in 2006. Kerry assisted in coaching the Fusion Mini Pom Team and Tiny Pom Team who were national and internationally ranked teams until taking a step back from coaching in 2011 to spend more time with her family. Kerry  has continued, and currently continues to teach ballet and tap for Footnotes to ages 2-8 years old. 
Kerry was a full time stay at home Mom for 13 years, working part time at the dance studio and raising the loves of her life, Jayce (15) and Logan (9). Kerry began working for the Turlock Unified School District in March of 2015 where she works as a Para Professional at Cunningham Elementary School. Kerry has dedicated her parenting to her children's various activities such as drama, soccer, youth football, baseball, voice lessons and, multiple theater productions. 
Kerry has been active in sitting on many boards such as PTA for Dennis Earl, School Site Council for Dennis Earl and Turlock High School, Dancing with the Turlock Stars, and currently sits on a board for the classified staff representing Cunningham Elementary School. Kerry also volunteers her time to Turlock High Schools Sober Grad Night, working home football games in the snack bar, and volunteering at Sober Grad Night as a chaperone for students.
Kerry resides in Turlock with her two boys.
